Annette Funicello was an American actor and singer. Most famously, she was one of Mickey Mouse Club's "Mouseketeers". In her teens, Annette began to sing and was famous for her hit songs, 'TallPaul' and Pineapple Princess'. Annette was raised in Utica with parents who were Italian immigrants. Her shyness was evident as an infant. In order to make her name in the entertainment business her first step was to begin dancing and play. In the mid-1950s, she received a lot of attention through her performances on "Disney" sketch shows. In her later years, Annette shredded her 'Disney' persona and appeared in numerous adult parts. Most famous for her role as the actor who introduced the "beach-party" style of film. The films she appeared in included "Pajama Parties", 'How to Stuff a Wild Bikini', and 'Beach Party'.
